Summer Social Groups


Based on Social Thinking (™) methodology, our Summer Social Groups will help children learn to:

  • build social observational skills

  • strengthen perspective taking skill

  • determine one's own and other's thoughts and feelings

  • strengthen and conceptualize physical presense and self-awareness in a group

  • follow a group plan

  • develop problem solving and language skills

  • become a social thinker!

Details (Summer 2019)

  • The Groups runs from July 15th to August 23rd.

  • Each week involves two 2 hour sessions.

  • The groups are on a Monday/Wednesday and a Tuesday/ Thursday rotation and we are offering groups at 10:00am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm. 

  • Groups will consist of 4-5 children and 3 adults.

  • The groups will be run at our office 106-501 fourth st, Courtenay, B.C.

  • Cost can be covered by extended health benefits as well as Speech Language Pathology funding (Autism Funding Unit, At Home Program, etc).

  • The group is run by two Registered Speech Language Pathologists, certified by RASP.​​
